You know you’re getting old when watching Ferris Bueller (Matthew Broderick) steal cars, break rules and win hearts fills you with anxiety rather than butterflies. But as soon as Ferris’s parents fall for his ruse, you’re nonetheless transported back to the ’80s – when precociousness, a smirk and a leopard-print vest cemented Ferris as the eternal teenage cult hero.
