The Skywalker Saga ends after nine movies and 42 years. In May 1977, Star Wars (back when it was just Star Wars and not Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope) opened in 32 theatres. Now, The Rise of Skywalker opens in ours. And probably some others, we haven’t checked. Emperor Palpatine is back, we all want to see if Reylo happens and to find out whether JJ has gumption enough to not walk back the inauspicious provenance Rian Johnson established for Rey in The Last Jedi.
