Redeeming gift vouchers

Lucky you! You’ve received (or treated yourself to) a Rooftop Cinema gift voucher. Here’s how to redeem it for tickets to a film of your choice:

  1. To redeem your voucher, open the email that has your unique voucher code.
  2. Select your preferred screening from our online program, click ‘Buy tickets’, add the number of tickets you’d like to book and click ‘Add to cart’.
  3. Go to checkout.
  4. In the order summary on the right, enter your unique voucher code in the section marked ‘Gift card or discount code’ and click ‘Apply’. (If you’re on mobile, you’ll need to tap ‘Show order summary’ up the top to reveal the discount-code section.)
  5. Enter your contact information on the left and click ‘Continue’.
  6. When you reach the payment step, you’ll have one of two options, depending on your gift voucher’s balance:

    If the balance of your gift voucher is greater than or equal to your order total, you can simply click ‘Complete order’ – no payment is required.

    If the balance of your gift voucher is less than your order total, you’ll be prompted to choose a second payment method for the remaining balance.

  7. Your tickets will be emailed to you as PDFs. You’re all set! We’ll see you at the box office.

If you don’t use up the balance of your gift voucher in one order, you can spend the remaining balance on Rooftop Cinema tickets in the future, using the same code, until it’s all gone. Our gift vouchers never expire.

Important! Rooftop Cinema seating is unreserved and subject to availability. An unredeemed gift voucher does not guarantee you a seat at sold-out screenings; you must redeem it to secure tickets. All Rooftop Cinema vouchers and tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Read our FAQ to find out more.

Redeeming gift packs

Cute: you and your date/buddy/mum/husband are ready to get cosy with a film under the stars. Here’s how to redeem your gift pack:

  1. To book your two adult tickets to a film of your choice, select your preferred screening from our online program, click ‘Buy tickets’, add two adult tickets and click ‘Add to cart’.
  2. Go to checkout.
  3. In the order summary on the right, enter your unique voucher code in the section marked ‘Gift card or discount code’ and click ‘Apply’. (If you’re on mobile, you’ll need to tap ‘Show order summary’ up the top to reveal the discount-code section.)
  4. Enter your contact information on the left and click ‘Continue’.
  5. Next, simply click ‘Complete order’ – no payment is required.
  6. Your tickets will be emailed to you as PDFs. You’re booked in! We’ll see you at the box office.
  7. Remember to bring along your tokens for popcorn, choc-tops and blanket hire. Tip: store them in your wallet now. (These tokens can only be redeemed on the night of a Rooftop Cinema screening.)
  8. If you you were super lucky and received an optional Mesa Verde gift voucher as well make sure to bring the voucher to dinner. We also recommended you make a booking.

Important! The unique voucher code that comes in a gift pack can only be used once, so you must redeem your two adult tickets to the same film in a single transaction.

Also important: Rooftop Cinema seating is unreserved and subject to availability. An unredeemed gift pack does not guarantee seats at sold-out screenings; you must redeem it to secure tickets.
