You’d think writer Diablo Cody’s Oscar for Juno only would’ve clued people to Jennifer’s Body being a genre film with ideas. But the studio, and the trailer, made sure that Jennifer’s Body was marketed to horny teenage boys, sweeping aside its feminist horror credentials – strange, because it’s literally about the relationship between two young women (Amanda Seyfried and Megan Fox), one of whom has been turned into a demonic, man-eating succubus.
