Taika Waititi is on a hot streak after What We Do in the Shadows, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Thor: Ragnarok and being a charming, handsome rapscallion who pulls off outrageous fits. He used that invulnerability to direct a comedy where he plays Hitler. Not only that, he gets laughs portraying Nazis as soft-headed buffoons without copping too much heat from critics. Something for the “you can’t joke about anything anymore” crowd to note.
