Lost in Kolkata at age five and adopted by a Tasmanian family, Saroo Brierley is torn between two worlds when he learns that Google Earth might help him locate the rural Indian village he half remembers. He draws on hazy memories of a long-ago train journey, as well as the support of loved ones in Australia, to find out who he really is. Sunny Pawar is adorable as young Saroo, while Dev Patel, as adult Saroo, does such a brilliant Australian accent you’d think he was actually raised here.
