This one knocked it out of the park and it did it by breaking some rules: doing animation that foregoes the Pixar’s anal fussiness for stylisation and comic book-iness. By taking a risk throwing Peter Parker in the bin and making the protagonist Miles Morales from the Ultimate Marvel universe. By – and maybe this is the most important one – making a film for kids that adults can enjoy. Not a film for adults suitable for kids. We didn’t want another Spider-Man movie but we ended up with the best one anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
