Now a freelance writer, grown-up Gordie (Richard Dreyfuss) reminisces about the time when, aged 12, he (Wil Wheaton) and three misfit buddies (River Phoenix, Jerry O’Connell, Corey Feldman) embarked on an adventure to find a kid their age who was presumed dead. But the bad kids in town are on their tail, and the quest becomes a race to see who’ll recover the body first.
