Who in the name of tarnation let Guy Ritchie direct Aladdin, King Arthur or – heavens to Betsy – Swept Away? He is a man who must be strapped down and allowed only so much liberty as needed to direct films about English gangsters. This is the only thing he’s good for and only thing he deserves. If you’re all heated up imagining Ritchie as a filmmaking submissive, find release watching Matthew Matthew McConaughey play a weed kingpin trying to divest his business to much violent and comical effect. The full Lock Stock throwback jazz.
